ell asleep with the tv on
finally feelin’ like i belong
woke up to a funeral song
called you up to say hello
left a message for you at home
packed my dishes in styrofoam
everything i knew was gone
it’s raining in ohio
the streets are slick
shows what i know
i hear their cries through my window
they’re mourning again in america
mourning again in america
tied my shoes when i woke up
drew my curtains just enough
thought about the ones i love
tucked my chin into my coat
shrugged my shoulders, cleared my throat
walked the banks of the ohio
felt a chill to the bone

This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart

Has anyone else noticed that the last few seconds of Abandoned Love are scrambled??? Even when you play it on Bandcamp, it's messed up. Great album, but needs fixed! Justa Lint
